I'm a student in a competetive and rather challenging nursing program. Yesterday I had two HUGE exams, back to back, on rather vague and difficult material. I didn't do as well as I wanted, partially related to improper instruction from the instructor, so I left the exam room seething with both personal irritation and serious frustration with my instructor. I was supposed to meet a friend in the gym 30 mins later, was signed up for the treadmill already, but I *really* didn't want to go. I was cranky, sore from snowmobiling the day before, enter a thousand reasons I didn't want to go, shouldn't go, wouldn't go. :explode:

But my friend gave me that look, the look that says "No, its cool, you can be fat as long as you like," so I hauled my cranky *kitten* to the treadmill and suffered through the cross-country program for 30 mins.

After that 30 mins, I was feeling a lot less angry, and almost a little more positive about life in general. Enough to head into the aerobics room and cool down with some yoga.

Turns out, working out angry makes for great fuel. I didn't realize how tired and wore out I was until later that night. Running on adrenaline I guess, but it works!

Anyone else find working out to be the panacea to a horrible day? Looking at me, you'd never guess.
