Fat on thighs really harder to lose than stomach fat?

Ok for my personal experience pretty much the 20 pounds I gained 90% were in my inner thighs and barely any on my stomache. I had a guy ask me why I had such a skinny waste and big thighs for my size, kinda hit my self esteem haha. Is anyone in the same situation? I'm 5"2 and 18 years old. I've already established I'm a pear body shape :p. If you went through this what did you do to lose the inner thigh fat, how long did it take? like I heard the best exercises are the elliptical and jogging long distances.

My thighs are the last part to lose weight - my stomach has flattened nicely and while I have lost some weight in my thighs, it's proportionally less. Unfortunately that just seems to be the way it goes for me. I think running has helped, but I also play roller derby which has built up my quads!

    I'm 30 years old, 5'6, 126 lbs currently.
I have never ever had thin thighs. I trained pretty hard at intervals in my 20s….kickboxing, running, yoga, etc…to no avail. Flat tummy, abs, toned arms, little waist, TREE TRUNK THIGHS. Strong and smooth but never thin.
You can reduce overall fat, of course, but your build is your build. I can't tell you how many jeans I own with the inner thigh area worn clean through. I spend lots of money on their repairs at the seamstress :/
Running helps me trim them down the most. That and lunges. And sticking to my calorie goals.

I have the opposite, legs and bum are great (yeah, even if I do say so myself) but tummy is still there (well, it's not but it's not as defined as the legs)
I was told that women store it on legs and bum more... and I "store fat like a man" (yeah, cheers for that)

I was also once told in the showers of the swimming pool that I "have good strong legs like a man"
I took it badly at the time but now I am like... yeeeeeeaaaah dude!

You can't spot reduce... it's just genetics. Just eat at a calorie deficit.
