I won't get into what the issues are, but I've gotten very depressed and down this week and have lost a lot of motivation. I've been drinking and haven't exercised in three days. I haven't gone crazy with bingeing yet.. but I can see it coming.
I'm already being treated for depression.. I just need to get out of this funk. Any advice? I want to hit the 25 pound mark so bad...
I don't want to throw away everything I've done!

Don't Quit.
I know it is easier said than done. Believe me, I do! But you have come so far...too far to throw in the towel now.
Instead of focusing on all of the junk going on around. Make a list of things that you are thankful for. It doesn't have to be anything big or life-changing. Just a list of things that you might take for granted everyday. I'll try to get you started:
1. You're alive. You've been blessed with another day.
2. You have a job. While it may make you crazy, you are not one of the millions who are facing the end of unemployment benefits.
3. You have the internet. Most people can find something to smile about online (Try uberhumor.com or YouTube cute kitten/animal videos for instant sunshine.)
4. You have lost 18 pounds! Holy crap!!! Think about that for a minute. Go to the grocery store and put 18 of those little hamburger chubs in your cart and just look at it. Because of your hard work, you have lost that much weight. No one lost it for you or helped you cheat to get there. YOU did it for yourself. And I am proud of you for that.
5. Be thankful that you are going to put down that drink (lots of calories right there that you're going to save!), and get your butt outside for some air. I don't care if it is snowing. Step outside for a moment to BREATHE and refocus. Call a local neighbor or friend that you trust and get some coffee and chat about things.
Don't give up. Life can suck, but you have too much going for you. Message me is you need anything, my friend!

^^^ This!! Jenn gives great advice. Yes, life can suck, but you have come so far. Don't let all the crap get in the way. Focus on the positive. You got this!0 -
First things first. Get up and do something positive right now!
Clean a corner of your house, or go to the gym, or do something for school or get ready for work or read a story to your kids. Whatever it is.
It all starts by doing something positive you've not been doing or putting off because you're depressed.0 -
Ok, you know you don't feel well with what you're doing, and you know you don't want to go where it leads. So give yourself some backup and support. A lot of times, especially when I'm depressed, I don't feel like going to the gym. But I know that breathing hard for a half hour can act like an antidepressant. And I know it will make me feel better. So choose the gym over the bottle. If that is too much, then just choose to move - go for a walk, turn on your favorite bouncy music and clean, just do something positive.
Eat protein, not carbs. Take some extra Vitamin D with some milk, then do something to pamper yourself even if it is just a hot bath. Avoid sugar, it can cause a mood crash. Remember, these moods pass and when you get to the other side you want to still be on your way to 25 pounds off. You just have to wait it out. Good luck.0 -
Then don't. Why would you give up because of a bad day? Build a bridge and walk over it- You are doing this for you. Doesn't matter what goes on around you, this is still just as important when you started or you wouldn't have posted this in the forums.
Have a bad day, use that to motivate you to do even better tomorrow. Just think how bad you WILL feel if you binge. And listen to "Jenn" she is so right! The only one who will suffer is YOU, if you eat a bunch of crap and relapse! 25 pds is in your sights, go get it! Spring will be here in a few weeks, then summer!0 -
Any advice? I want to hit the 25 pound mark so bad...

I would say to pick one (or more!) of the things that is stressing you out and tell yourself that mediocre will be ok for a while. I'm not saying don't pay the rent, or get fired from your job. But there are probably a few places you can cut corners, even if you don't want to. And maybe just eat at maintenance for a bit until your mood stabilizes. That way you won't gain anything, but you can relax a little bit about food. When I was suffering from depression, I had a problem with an "all-or-nothing" outlook that I still battle. Taking care of yourself is so important when you are depressed. You should focus on your health so you can be useful at work and with your family for the long haul.0
