12lbs down in 8 weeks!!!

I was never too fat to begin with, I started off at 127 lbs on Jan.1,2014 and ever since then, I have lost 12 lbs(115lbs now). I eat whatever I want as long as it adds up to1200 calories (with cheat days). I workout, mostly cardio, at least 5 times a week. I have gone down 2 pant sizes so I know I'm not losing much muscle because I casually lift weights here and there. i'm wondering for those who shed fat off their stomach, what exercises/weight training did you do? And how often? I really want to tone my stomach!!

    First of all, as an advocate of cheat days, I'm happy you are doing that! Losing weight means nothing if you lose your sanity along with it. :D

    Unfortunately, because of my PCOS (polycystic ovarian disease), I tend to hold my weight in my stomach more than anything else. My stomach was so big that I almost couldn't see my feet. Now I've lost quite a bit of weight and I've lost more weight on my stomach than anything. I do a mixture of heavy cardio (such as kickboxing) and strength training. If you have room, I'd recommend you get a weighted hula hoop. They are hard to use at first, but if you keep up with them, you will have a very trim waist. I used one when I was 16 and I looked great. You should increase your strength training to more than doing it casually though. Consider taking a class (I do the body pump class at 24 hour fitness).

    What's interesting is that you may find that muscle starts to build up under the fat. That's sort of what I have now. I have strong abs under a small layer of fat. Losing weight will take care of that (I'm not commenting on your weight specifically since I do not know your height).
