i just did a 45-50 minute walk and still feel like i can keep going for another hour or so but i know its somewhat bad to keep going until you're absolutely stuffed (and unfortunately study is a calling)

i was wondering what helps you wind down?

Stretching after exercise winds me down. I stopped doing free weights and elliptical at the gym by myself and for the past month and a half I've been doing cardio classes exclusively.

After intense cardio like cardio kickboxing, cardio cabaret, or step aerobics we slow our pace and do basic yoga stretches to get us in, what I like to call after exercise, the "no fly zone."

We do the child's, cobra, and cow , and sphinx poses and by the time we're in the corpse pose half of us are asleep :)

Check out this link to learn more about these poses:

With studying waiting there for you it's even worse because you'd rather do anything else than learning - I know sth about that

Stretching and cool down should help but also make sure you add some intensity to your workouts as you are getting stronger. Also change routine from time to time to use other muscles - ex. switch to aerobics for a while.

yeah, i have managed to get a group of my friends to help me get fit and work out (as they want to as well) and we plan on changing up the routine every so often,
i think i'm organising a circuit course, one of them is doing yoga the other one is doing dancing, theres all these walks and hikes and all that planned so we've got the changing the routine down pat

and yes the study... very non-progressive at the moment lol but at least mid-semesters are over for now,

    thank you for the tips:happy:
