entering "accidental" workouts

So I find myself adding up my little spurts of walking at work, snow shoveling, and household chores. Are these the kind of calories that are previously factored into the "lightly active" lifestyle? I know I'm adding them to smile at the "you'd weight XX in 5 weeks". Anyone else?
Best Wishes!

Yup! If you are set to lightly active and adding those back in then you're double counting. I know it's nice to see that message but maybe just get in the habit of ignoring it. That's only a formula and is likely not often all that accurate. All those things you mentioned can really be considered part of your NEAT and just a part of your day. I would stick to adding just planned exercise calories.

Bah! That's what I thought. Not complaining- losing is losing!

Yep. Double dipping. I only add a walk or cleaning or something if it is in addition to my daily routine.

Before anyone says anythjng about cleaning, I should clarify that this is my job. I spend 6-8 hours deep cleaning campers and RV's. I've actually stopped counting that and just figured it in. But when I started MFP I did count it.

I like seeing that message at the end of the day. Not because I think it is accurate, but because if it says a number less than I am now, I feel like I'm on the right track. I did test this once. The number was off by a little less than 2 lbs for a 5 week period. I figure adding in the fact that I'm human and don't eat the say every day, and normal fluctuations, that it was decently accurate as a progress guide.
