Hi everyone,

I am new to MFP and am excited to start my weight loss journey. I have heard so many success stories from others and c an't wait to be a success myself. I am a single mom of two boys who are 6 and 3 so finding time to workout is hard with them, being in college, and working part time, but I'm not going to use it as an excuse. I've recently started making time to go to the park while my oldest is in kindergarten.

I am also here to learn about portion control. My main problem is over-eating and snacking on unhealthy things during the day and before bed. I know I shouldn't but I still do.

I am definitely going to need some friends on here for motivation and support. Most of my friends in life aren't dieting (even though some should) and being around them and my mom don't help. My mom is someone who can eat and eat and eat and lose weight. She maintains her healthy weight while eating balanced meals and junk food while if I eat a cookie, I gain half a pound.

I hope to meet some new people on here who will help motivate me and help me when I hit plateau's or feel like I need support so please feel free to add me and I'll do the same.

    Welcome! MFP is a great place to help you achieve your weight loss goals. Portion control is hard and I've really had to work on learning the correct portions. Making friends on here that are having success will really help you to get meal ideas as well. I find that I snack at night also but I do work it into my daily calories.
