Stronglifts 5X5 vs something else?

So, I like the idea of stronglifts 5X5, but was just wondering......

Does anyone do stronglifts for sport-specific training? Is there a better program that I could be doing? I row, bike, and swim, so I was thinking about doing stronglifts but also adding in core at the end of the lift?

Do you do another program? If so, what do you do?
