Food allergy discoveries

So yesterday one of my MFP frenz discovered she was allergic to something she loves. BIG DOWNER. It has happened to me many times in the last several years....(I won't disclose how many "years" cuz that'll just make me feel ancient)
Anyways, I was inspired to write here on the message boards regarding food allergies...and wonder ...
How many MFP frenz have had similar experiences? I know it's much more common nowadays after all.
So...what are you're food allergies & do you have any tips for ppl who are still discovering what foods effect their bodies in negative ways?
I know food allergies can affect ppl in many different ways. For me, I get itchy, stingy, feels like a sunburn on my lips. Then I feel itchy in my mouth, specifically my tongue & the top of my mouth. Then it'll go in my throat & feel itchy & like I can't clear my throat. I usually stop when I feel the itchies in my lips.
My friend has reactions in his stomach. When he eats something he is sensitive to, he'll get stomach cramps & what happens next is a few hours of painful stomach cramps followed by a nice long trip to the bathroom.
For me....I'm allergic to walnuts, ALL melons, bananas, avocados, & snow peas...just to name a few. I was not allergic to any of those items in my younger years. They started developing in my early 20's. By this point I know pretty much what to expect if I develop a new food allergy. I pay attention to the signals & act accordingly. QUIT eating it for starters. And my allergist explained that many of my food allergies stem from my environmental allergies. So weird, but interesting too.

I get a major migraine when I eat oranges or drink Cherry anything. Its not an allergy its called intolerance or sensitivity. I can't eat them all the same. I don't like cherrys anyway so no great loss but once in a while I get a real craving for oranges.0
