PLAN B CAUSE OF CRAVINGS?

Hey folks... not sure where to put this... is it a myth that when a female takes a Plan B (emergency contraceptive) it could lead to hormonal/ carby cravings? .... just wondering...

i wouldn't be surprised at all if it has an effect on your appetite... it throws your hormones way out of whack... can't say for sure though as i've never personally used it.

Looks like it only increases appetite in some very specific cases (AIDS, cancer, some eating disorders) by encouraging certain protein production.

General side effect seems to be loss of appetite.

Well, it's a high dose of hormones. If you are already one of those women whose appetite is impacted by oral contraception, then the possibility exists I suppose. But women also experience cravings during their normal monthly cycle, so depending on when you took the pills in relation to your cycle, you might just be experiencing a regular craving. Most likely not a pregnancy craving, if I remember correctly those take a few weeks to kick in.

Not usually, the usual side effects are nausea and vomiting. I myself experienced both as well as lower abdominal pain, but did not have any change in my cravings or appetite.

I had nausea and cramps but no cravings outside of comfort ones. Sorry.

i've taken it twice, i've never experienced any type of cravings from it.

i experienced wicked cravings and hunger... like why am i soooo hungry!??? I`ve taken it 3 times in the past like 6 years i guess and each time i have the same effects. I gain 10 pounds, I get terrible jawline acne, low back pains and abdominal cramps about 5 weeks after taking it, and fatigue like i got hit by a truck! I don`t get back to normal until like 3 cycles after taking the pill! Oh and hair loss starts about 2 weeks after taking it! Lots n lots of hair falls out.. thankfully it grows back in around my temples with time.

Just throwing this in there, but my OB told me that taking 2 of my bc pills is the equivalent to plan b. I never was ballsy enough to try that lol
