Any teachers out there?

I'm applying for an intern position at a great school but I have no teaching experience and I'm writing my cover letter for the job but a little stuck. The application states:

"Please state why you are interested in completing an internship at [the school]. Please give an indication of any skills, expertise, knowledge, experience, interests or training we may be able to draw upon. Please identify particular areas that you would like to focus on during your internship."

I've written my statement mentioning my skills in planning, organising, communication, teamwork and a desire to put into practice what I've learnt (about 400 words) but I think it lacks character. It's just a bit too much like any other job application. If any teachers could spare some time to lend a hand that would be great.
