Insanity and inches!!

I just finished week 2 of insanity and while I have put on about 3lbs in the last 4 days or so, I have not lost any inches at all in my measurements. In fact, I gained half an inch in my butt. am I going something wrong? I eat 1440 calories a day, plus my exercise calories back. I use a polar heart rate monitor do I know I'm not over calculating my exertion also. Am I silly to worry only 2 weeks in or an I messing up somewhere? I really need to lose abou 10lbs or at least the equivalent in inches/appearance as in 10 weeks time I am going on my first beach holiday with the bf and I want to be somewhat comfortable, and even confident if possible. I am 5'4.9" and started at 140 lbs but now closer to 144. I'll open my diary if this helps!?!

My wife and I had a similar issue when we started doing T25. No weight loss at all for first two weeks. My wife started at exactly the same weight as you, and she is the same height. Stick with it. Watch your calories at night, try to eat most of your calories during the day, preferably breakfast and lunch. After a couple of weeks the weight will start to fall off. She lost 8lbs after 6 weeks of doing T25 and limiting her calories. She was doing 1300 calories/day plus the added calories from exercise.0

Ok cool, that's good to know! I was worried I wasn't eating enough or possibly too much. I was thinking of starting protein. Any thoughts on it?0

Do you mean protein supplements like whey powder? I haven't used anything like that before. I do bias my food intake towards protein over carbs. I don't eat any calorie dense sugary foods like candies, cookies, etc or any other high calorie foods like a cheeseburger or pizza. I do eat 3 eggs every morning for a high protein fix. It tends to keep me feeling full longer, as protein will do. My opinion has always been to adjust what I am eating first and see how that works. I don't think that protein supplements are necessary unless a person is training very heavily, like a couple of hours per day.0
