losing weight

STARTED 5 WEEKS AGO HAVE SET MY GOAL TO 1000 CALORIES A DAY AND AM ONLY MANAGING 800 CALORIES
I WAS 21.5 STONE AND AM NOW 19.8 STONE, I DO TENNIS ONCE A WEEK AND WALK/RUN EVERY EVENING, I AM HAPPY DOING THIS BUT SHOULD I BE?
LAST WEIGH IN I LOST 7LBS IN A WEEK,,! SAYING THAT IN THAT WEEK I HAD FLU AND ONLY MANAGE 2 BANANAS IN 2 DAYS

    You definitely need to be eating more than 800 or 1000 calories at your current weight, this is way too low and while you are losing a lot of weight quickly it is counter-productive.

    Walking is great, jogging at your weight may be hard on the knees but if you are managing without any pain go for it.

    Try get a couple of weight sessions in as well, maybe swap a couple of walking sessions for it.

    Seriously though, you need to eat more than you are.

  • If your going to be on that severe an energy deficit (personally consider it unsustainable but your call) make sure you are consuming 1.8g/kg protein. This is the recommended amount to minimise losses in lean body mass during substantial energy restriction.
