Any success stories from 3rd shift workers?

I am looking for positive stories from night shift workers :) I'm starting my new job this week and a little nervous about what I have read about how most people gain when they work nights. I have a plan of how I am going eat and workout but just would like some encouragement :) thanks

I don't work third-shift now, but I did years ago. I actually found it easier to lose weight on third-shift, as I love to work out in the morning but find it hard to wake myself up early enough to get it done. When I worked third-shift, I would go to the gym and work out for an hour as soon as I got off of work, then I'd shower, take care of errands, head home, and sleep. Wake up 8 hours later, rinse and repeat :) I also packed healthy lunches and snacks to keep my nutrition on track. I only started to gain weight on third-shift when I stopped working out regularly. It took some planning on my part, but weight loss was possible on third-shift. I think the most important thing is to get into a fixed schedule and stick to it. Third-shift is hard at first, but the sooner you can get your body on a schedule (sleep around the same time every day, eat around the same time, etc.), so it knows what to expect, the better you will feel :) Good luck!
