Am I cheating if I do this with my veggies?

So I suck at eating veggies well if anyone read Jessica Seinfeld book about putting your veggies into desserts would this be bad for a 20 year old male that is trying to gain muscle and get ripped do?

I just have a hard time getting in veggies and need ways to sneak them in but is it consider cheating If I do it?

And would it effect my results in anyway?

Sneak them in where you need to if you don't like them.

Put them in your smoothies - a handful of spinach or kale will go unnoticed
If you eat pasta sauces cut them up small and add them - you won't even know they are there

Is there a particular reason you don't like them?

If there are veg you like eat those and when you shop buy a small amount of something new to try

You aren't cheating because there's no one to cheat. Your veggie intake is for you. Eating your veggies in baked goods is no less virtuous than eating them raw. You may like the ChocolateCoveredKatie.com blog for "dessert" recipes that are made out of things like beans, zucchini, and of course, chocolate.

(I substituted cauliflower for the no meat athlete binder substance when I made the protein bars, and it worked. I would not eat them without something on top like peanut butter or hot strawberries, but with a little topping, it transforms. I hate cauliflower.)

Cook them in ways that you like. Try different recipes. Make or find an awesome salad dressing that you really like.

I think he said he's trying to gain muscle, not lose weight. (Not that you can't do both, but I think he's just trying to gain muscle. He can correct me if I'm wrong.) I mean, not that cheese in and of itself will make you gain muscle (ha, I wish!) but it probably wouldn't hurt him much.

Besides, everything's better with cheese. And/or bacon.

The low sodium version of this is not too bad.

Carrot cake? I'm in for carrot cake.

Try it. It's about getting nutrients and it doesn't matter how you do it. I can't imagine most veggies are tasty in desserts, though.

Agreed cheese and bacon make everything better, even brussell sprouts!

Absolutely, a heavily processed and preservative laden canned beverage that can sit on a grocery store shelf for months is EXACTLY like eating fresh live produce!

I 'hide' fruits and vegetables everywhere I can. Not because anyone in my house is terribly picky. I just have 2 little kids with very small appetites so I try to get as much good stuff into them I can.
When I make pasta sauce I cook it with whatever vegetables I feel like (carrots, peppers, cauliflower, zucchini, etc..) and blend the whole mess up in the blender till smooth.
I do the same thing to thicken my gravy,

Apple sauce or mashed banana in ALL my muffins/pancakes? You bet.
Grated zucchini in the brownies? Sometimes.
    People have already mentioned shakes/smoothies.

I agree with those that say you should probably try to learn to eat veggies on their own as well. Try putting cheese on 'em,? Cheese makes everything better!

    Good luck.

ETA: There are so many great, wonderful delicious desserts that utilize things like avocados as well. Try searching google for vegan desserts.

my mom used to puree veggies and put them in our spaghetti sauce and anything else she could sneak it into. i don't think it's cheating, it was the only way us kids would eat veggies.

You are hiding them from yourself?

    Good luck with that.

Cheating? Only if your significant other doesn't know and/or doesn't approve of what you're doing with your veggies.
