3 week gym progress

I joined the gym 3 weeks ago and I have been 4-5 times per week. First week I lost 1.6lb, Second week I lost 2.6lb, third week I GAINED 1.2lb.

I weigh and log all my food and drinks with calories. I knew the time would come where I got an unexplained gain so I dug out my tape measure instead. In just those 3 weeks I've lost 12.5 inches (including 2.5 from my waist and 2.5 from my hips) I am happy with that.

Trying not to focus on the gain in weight, hoping it'll be gone by the next weigh in :tongue:

    The gain in a little weight could be ANYTHING! it could have been 2pm instead of 3pm. Ignore it, losing that much in inches is amazing! Focus on that! Keep up the work

    best thing i did was stopped weighing myself when i joined the gym. throw away your scale. you no longer need it.

    I really do try not to focus too much on the numbers but the idea of throwing out my scales terrifies me. Last time I did that I spiralled out of control. The scales help keep me accountable :ohwell:
