Three weeks in...

Hello, I'm currently three weeks in to using MFP but didn't bother to introduce myself until now!
I am calorie counting and trying to balance what I eat into proper meals with healthier ingredients. I started a little while before I bothered trying MFP, but during the last three weeks I've learned more about nutritional values through this site than I have from my previous method of "guessing and winging it".
I don't really like having my photo taken, unless I'm in costume - hence my profile pic of me testing out the facial hair for a cosplay I did last year. I don't carry a lot of weight in my face so don't mind that pic! I'm actually a woman with very long hair, not a bald bloke with dubious eyebrows... Really!
Part of the reason I realised I *needed* to lose weight was that I couldn't fit in to my vintage car any more - it's not a sports car or anything, just a saloon, but every time I squeezed in and out I damaged the trim around the door. Yes, it was fear of damaging my car that made me sit up and take notice of my weight.
I have suffered at my own hands from my habit of eating at my desk - my lovely customers seem to bring me a stream of doughnuts and cakes and biscuits and chocolates, for which I was of course very grateful! EVERYTHING got eaten!
I'm very proud that I have resisted this temptation over the last few weeks; long may it continue.
