Is there an alternative? I love it on my oatmeal but calorie wise I can't use enough to make it taste good. Is there an alternative or should I just get use to it this way?

I make my oatmeal with 1/4 cup dried apples to add some sweetness, 1 tbs fresh ground peanut butter or chocolate peanut butter and 1/4 tsp cinnamon. I try not to add sugar to anything I eat, and found that adding dried fruit helps with the sweetness.
  • Coconut sugar is healthier for you but it has only slightly less calories than white sugar - 14 per teaspoon compared to white sugar's 16 but it does have a brown sugar kind of taste. But, you can't just get it anywhere - I order it on line.

IDEAL NO CALORIE SWEETENER has just added brown sugar to their product line. I haven't tried it but I have been using their original no calorie sweetener for quite a while now and I love it. Unlike other sugar substitutes, it has no after tatste. It's made with xylitol and is 99% natural. Here is a link to their website.

    I hope this helps.
