How to maintain on holidays abroad?

Hi! In two days I am going to England and Ireland for 3 weeks (yay!!) and I am not going to be able to workout at all (no gym in the hotel, besides I am going to visit lots of places so there won´t be time anyway).
Do you have any tips on how to eat healthily there? I will probably have to lunch in a mcdonalds or some place like that and I am not sure what healthier options I have...
Any ideas?
Thanks!

PS: I am just 0,400 kg from my goal, so I am not looking to lose but to maintain my current weight during the trip

We have lots of food options in UK, plenty of which are in the MFP database. You won't be restricted to Macdonalds.

Continue to log your food, aiming to eat near your maintenance calories.

Or else just enjoy yourself and have a few weeks off logging. Make sensible choices and it's unlikely you'll undo your hard work.

How exciting about ur trip. To just reiterate most of our food in England is in the MFP database. There will be tons of nice food to have! If u have any MFP buddies based in the UK check out their food diaries and get some ideas! There is also plenty of nice places to walk (weather permitting!) Where abouts are u staying?

Really no need to resort to McDonald's in the UK. Even on a budget, there are plenty of healthier restaurant options. If you have UK peeps on your FL, look at where they pick up lunch during the work week for example. You'll find portion sizes smaller than the US.

On vacation I try to buy a few day passes at a local gym if the hotel doesn't have one. I fit in a workout first thing in the morning while the other half sleeps in. Failing that I tty to do a lot of walking.

I use the phone app Runtastic to track calories burned walking. It uses the GPS and syncs with MFP. All of the apps which use the GPS to turn your phone into a pedometer do eat up a lot of battery, though. I ended up buying an external battery for my phone prior to my last vacation because we were on the hoof for more than 8 hours at a time.

    Have a great time.
