This has to be the best show on Tv right now. This show has been amazing and well written. I think Marty is the killer just because everyone wants you to think it is Russ. The show is called True Detective after all

my boyfriend and I are loving this show!! we tried to find "lone star" beer to drink when we watch it, but it's not sold in illinois. interesting. maybe missouri is allowed to sell it and we can smuggle it back across the border. ;)

Honestly, I watched only part of the first episode but could not get into it. I just didn't like either of the characters and it was so slow. I like both the actors but I've decided I'm not wasting my time on shows that don't grab me right away. I did just start catching up on season one of Masters of Sex....now that's a pretty darn good show!

I absolutely love this show so much. And something is a bit off about Marty. I think the next two episodes are going to be really telling. I actually delay my Sunday night watching of The Walking Dead til I'm done with True Detective. (yes, thank you, no commercials cuz, DVR!)
  • Fantastic show!!!

yea they both work well together and it just comes off as a natural partnership. It starts out a little slow but now where it is at, I cannot wait for it to come back on. It has you thinking non-stop and I love the format on how they are doing the show

My wife and I have been watching it. Great character development. I have no idea how it is going to turn out. I was under the impression that this was going to be a continuing series? Is that not so?

I'm on episode 4 and I love it! I love dark stuff like this and they really scored on the actors. So happy to see McConaughey doing some great roles again. He is too good for the romcoms.

    LIFE IS A FLAT CIRCLE.

The script blows my mind every week.
That scene in the ghetto….one of the most masterfully shot ever.
I don't think either of the detectives is the killer, the creator of the show has said that it's mostly about character development, not about shocking us with the wildest thing he could think of.
    And thats refreshing.
Sunday nights I literally can't sleep because it's so thought provoking
Anyone who loves it should see the movie Out of the Furnace (also with Woody Harrelson)….similar feel, really dark and smart.

I think it's going to be an on going series, but a new story each season with different people. So the next season will not have these actors, but, I think it's a great way to keep it fresh.

"ever feel like you're mainlining reality"

"its like someones memory of a town."

so many awesome lines in this show. i might be paraphrasing, but the writing is brill.

Thanks. I did some research after posting that. Looks like people want to see a couple female detectives. Not me. Don't want an updated version of "Cagney and Lacey".

I'd like to see a couple of younger actors stretch their acting chops. Maybe Justin Timberlake and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Or a younger actor being mentored by an older actor.

The writing is amazing and just fits well with the characters. Woody Harrelson is the man and I enjoyed the 2nd episode which showed a lot of their flaws as people. I do like the flashbacks and thought it was intresting how they kinda hide it in the begining of the show. I do take it back after remembering Marty seeing something on the computer screen that sat him off, I do believe or hope they take the person down together

Probably my favorite show on TV right now. Absolutely love the way it's shot and the methodical way the characters have been developed. This past week threw a couple interesting wrinkles. I can't believe there's only two episodes left! I feel like there's so much to be answered.

I really like this show. It's amazing. I feel like I need to go back and re watch episodes to catch everything that is in them. Like there are little clues in each episode that you don't know about until you look back.
