new to this weightloss thing.

Been working on eating healthier and working out a lot more.
Dieting everyday and working out(weight lifting/ cardio) 5-6 days a week.

What is the most effective way to lose? Compare to what im doing.

I typically eat fruit and yogurt for breakfast. snack of planters peanuts before lunch. Lunch ill have 4 or 5 ham and cheese roll ups with a salad. And dinner ill have clean trimmed meat or poultry cooked with vegetables and little potatoes or beans. Work out I have a preworkout protein shake then will run 2 miles weight lift for 25-30 mins and finish with 2 miles. I only drink water besides. And rack up about 1300-1400 calroies a day.

Ive been consistent and thorough for about a littler over 3 weeks and no signs of improvement except like 3 pounds I continue to drop and gain.

Most 24 year old males need more than 1300-1400 calories per day.

Do you know your BMR and TDEE? Here's a quick calculator to estimate it http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/

If you are serious about losing some weight you will have to manage your net calories. That means accurately logging what you take in and what you burn via exercise. Since you are on here, use the software to set your goals based on your profile and desired rate of loss. If you have a smart phone load the app and use it. If you start operating at a caloric deficit each day the weight will come off because of the laws of thermodynamics. I also recommend that you engage socially on this site, you can gain alot of knowledge by reading the threads on the message boards but also beware of bogus advice like "you aren't losing because you aren't eating enough and your body is in starvation mode". Follow the MFP guidance and your weight graph will show a consistent downward trend over time.
