Bread crumb substitution?

I'm looking at turkey meatloaf and turkey meatball recipes, but none that don't contain bread crumbs. Does anyone have some suggestions for a substitute? I was think milled flax seed, but I think the bread is to make it sticky, so I'm not sure that would work.

I think breadcrumbs are often used in meatloaves to stretch it, more than to make it sticky. It gets baked in a loaf pan, so it's not like it needs to be super sticky like a hamburger or anything that sits on a grill. Egg is typically the binding agent in meatloaf instead of breadcrumbs.

I stretch my meatloaf with very finely diced carrots, celery and onion, sautéed in butter for a few minutes first, and then I just use an egg or two, no breadcrumbs needed. I've read that dried onions can be used to help bind a meatloaf, but I haven't tried that.

i use oatmeal - here's the recipe actually! it's delicious and you can of course substitute the beef for turkey. also, be sure to drain a good amount of juice out of the salsa or it'll be really runny (but still amazing)

    WEIGHT WATCHER'S MEAT LOAF
    2 lbs ground chuck
1 large size jar chunky salsa
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp black pepper
handful of shredded fat-free cheddar cheese
    1 cup oatmeal
Mix together ground beef, salsa, oatmeal, salt, and pepper. Place in casserole dish.
Cook on 350°F for one hour. Ten minutes before removing from oven, sprinkle top with cheese and bake until cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
