Not sure if this is a food or exercise question

I hit a "plateau" in my weight loss recently, so starting last week I added more cardio to my exercise routine. Problem I'm having is that I am famished! I am so hungry that I'm actually eating more then my "allowed" calories, which defeats the whole purpose!! I am just wondering if anyone else experienced this? I am really hoping its a temporary thing, but as of this mornings weigh in, I'm up 2 pounds

Kinda been there after walking/cycling I was really super hungry. I up'd my Fiber with oatmeal and sweeten it with raw natural honey and perhaps a handful of blueberries if I have them around (fresh/frozen) I think the fiber helps keep me full and fueled better. I also use double fiber bread sometimes as well.0

Try adding some light strength training to your workout - adding lean muscle is a great way to work through a plateau because it will increase your overall metabolism.0

The same thing happened to me when I started exercising regularly. Maybe it's the metabolism trying to readjust? Anyway, I know it's maddening! I've got no advice for you, though. :huh:lol Sorry! I just keep gum handy and find that I'm often thirsty when I think I'm hungry.
Oh, but for the plateau, I've actually read where a few people suggested taking a few days off of excersing so that when you restart the body isn't expecting it or something like that. (sneak attack! ) Or eating high calories one day and your allotted amount or less the next, etc.
Good luck!0 -

What is your protein intake like? Protein will fill you up and help you to not snack.
If you have some sort of protein at each meal - especially breakfast - you may find this helps.0 -
I checked my nutrional reports on here for the last 30 days, Protein averages between 45-60, fiber around 30 daily. I'm going to work on drinking more water, I seldom get the "eight glasses" a day. I drink alot of coffee & green tea but not pure water. Maybe I am really just thirsty and my body is sending me the wrong signal!0
