So I used to be a runner back in the day and ended up hurting my knee at work. Then ended up having a baby a year or so later then just stopped running after that. Started running again and I can finally get to my mile in about 10-12 minutes depending on my knee that day. Thinking of signing up for a 5K since I have never done one before, but need any advice, recommendations, motivation or mental tips to survive!

I've done 5k's and I suck at running (15-16min/mile.) I'm a slow asthmatic.
What I'm getting at is...there's people like me doing those 5k's and you've already 1-upped us.

Go for it! I ran a 5k three months after having my daughter and did a lot better than I expected to
I am currently doing the Couch 2 5k program to condition myself for another one this May, since I have not been active like I used to be.
