IIFYM - How do you make it 'fit' so easily?

I have read numerous success stories from people who do IIFYM. They say it's easier, more flexible than straight clean eating or calorie counting . I understand the concept and I would like to try it--- my only concern is that it would be so time consuming, hard to track, always thinking about your #'s, etc. I count calories (and mostly eat clean) and that is easy for me. What doesn't seem easy is tracking 4 different types (carbs, fat, protein, calories). I feel like it would be one big puzzle to try to get 4 different numbers to 'fit your macros' all the time, versus straight calories. It actually seems more stressful! Does anyone else feel like this? If you currently do IIFYM, how do you adjust all your foods easily to fit them?
