Slow weight loss

Hello,
I have been intermittently on MFP for a few years now, but have been most recently consistently exercising/calorie counting since the beginning of December. I've had very little weight loss since December, just about 8 lbs in the last 12 weeks, despite keeping accurate calorie counts and exercising 6-7 days a week (with a calorie deficit goal to equate to 1.5 lbs per week). I have been lifting weights since mid January or so about 3x/week. Prior to December, I had been pretty sedentary since about 2010 when I left my fairly physical job to now a desk job that I am able to work from home. Despite the scale not moving much, I am losing inches. I've lost 2 in my waist, 2 in my hips, 3 in my chest, 1 in each thigh, etc. My BF% has decreased some as well, but I can't tell by how much since I just recently got a BF monitor (primarily to help see a decrease, not necessarily for super accurate %). I do have a BF reading from 2012 but not sure how accurate it was. Regardless, I know I am making progress, but the scale still isn't moving much. I am assuming this is because I've lost some muscle mass from being sedentary for so long (3.5 years) and am now gaining muscle mass. My question is for those who have been in a similar situation: about how long did it take for the scale to really start to move? Is this something I should expect for a while? I am not stressing about it because I feel better and I've lost inches.. just curious about how long I should expect this until I am able to see larger losses on the scale. I'm sure it depends on a bunch of variables, but just wanted to get others experience. Also, I do have PCOS and am currently taking metformin. My fasting glucose levels are never elevated, although I plan on asking for a insulin level at my next physical to get a better idea on the insulin resistance aspect of PCOS.
Thanks for your input!

Congratulations on the loss of inches! Those are great, and in my opinion, changing inches are definitely more important that loss of weight. Although, I know it can be frustrating when the scale just isn't moving. To get a better idea of your situation, what is your height, weight, & calorie intake?
I sent you a buddy request so we can continue this conversation in private if you would like.
