Another fresh start...support needed

Hi, today is another all too familiar fresh start. I have been trying to kid myself that I should be happy with who I am and in a lot of respects I am. However my weight is an issue and I would like to lose the extra pounds. Winter is difficult so today the sun is out and I am nervously tracking my calories and exercise from today. ????

Good luck! It is hard to jump back on the wagon in winter ( I know because I'm doing it, too), but imagine how great we can feel by summer!
  • Hi mrsmoet :-)

I am also new here and need support like you. I am tired of trying to loose weight all the time and see that I somehow lost motivation in the middle. This time I decided to just do it and get it over with. Let's start :-)

Good luck. Nobody likes to diet in the winter - but we all want to be slimmer by the summer. Just keep at it - even if you don't see immediate results, it is sticking to it that shows longer-term results.

I have started and failed more diets than I care to remember - sadly I was in the habit of creating a very optimistic spreadsheet for each one, so I don't need to remember, I have the proof. Also my 4 year membership on MFP serves as another beacon to my lack of willpower.

Now my attitude is one pound lost a month is better than 5 pounds lost in week 1 and 10 pounds gained through the remainder of the year. Once I removed unachievable goals, I find it all easier to stick to and more motivation.

    Thanks ladies,

I am a successful dieter but when I am bad it's like self destruct!!! Have been very successful following weight watchers in the past but I just don't want to do that so going to calorie count, am a member of a gym but been really lazy the last couple of weeks. Yoga this morning though before work ????getting back into it gently

We have to start somewhere. You can do this. This is my first week. Again.
