Help I don't know the amount of cals in my spaghetti, on MFP it calculates it by grams. I had 1 1/2 cups of spaghetti but dont know how that converts to grams>??

Any ideas? I had catelli whole wheat spaghetti. I threw out the box already.

Thanks.

There is no true conversion of grams to cups (a cup of sugar is going to weigh more than a cup of popcorn). The box would have given you serving size in grams too.

I can tell you my serving size for Catelli Smart Spaghetti (we had similar dinners today) was 1/5 of the box and worked out to about 1.5 cups of pasta.

    ~340 grams

I don't know if this accurate though. I did cups to oz to grams.

You are comparing apples to oranges.
Grams is a measure of weight.
Cup is a measure of volume.
Unless you know the density, you cant compare the two.

I have a kitchen scale to get the most accurate measurement that I can for weight.

it3 is correct acually..You need to know the density to convert volume to grams.

It is not because the density is the mass/volume. And a cup of one substance will have a different ratio of mass to the volume occupied by that mass then another substance.

    Right.
But there is also a website which tries to convert it to you and gives you 344.

So yes, I get that. But there are websites out there which try to get some answer for you.
