Do I really want this?

One of the best things about tracking calories is that it makes me think whether I really want something. I just started eating a cookie, decided the cookie wasn't all that impressive, and tossed the rest. In the past, I would have just eaten it for the sake of eating it. Now I think about whether I really want those calories. It's good to feel in control :)
