OK, so I got really excited the other day when I was shopping at CVS. I found a HRM on clearance for about $9. It was originally like 60. It has all he funcitons that I was looking for with the pedometer, stopwatch, calorie counter, etc. I tried using it today and it seemed to be WAY off. I did 20 min. on the elliptical and it said I burned 64 calorie...huh? No way. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I have read the instructions and am doing what seems to be the right thing. Anyone with suggestions?

Thanks.

Use the brand and model number to search for the mfg website, where they might have troubleshooting info. You would also have a better chance of getting help from MFP members, if you indicated the brand and model number, in another post on this thread.

    Good luck.

Brand and model number would definitely help but off the top of my head, does it have a chest strap or do you have to put your finger on a sensor? If it just has a sensor and you didn't check your heart rate every once in a while, the hrm will just stick with the original heart rate and not be updated.

(Get one with a chest strap.) :)
