Hey there!
A food scale was strongly suggested to me. Does anyone have any good recommendations?
Also, say I want to eat peanut butter, not on anything, do I just plop it on the scale to weight it? Like how does that work?
Thanks.

Get a scale that measures in grams and ounces.
This one is highly rated on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Ozeri-Digital-Kitchen-Capacity-Stylish/dp/B003E7AZQA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1393512870&sr=8-2&keywords=food+scale
And yes, you would just put the peanut butter in a little cup or something and weigh it (tare the scale with the cup on it first so that weight is zeroed out).0 -
Another question- do you weigh meat raw or cooked?0

I weigh my meat cooked.
I will have to get the name of my scale when I get home.
It is digital, and I love it.
If I am weighing food, and I can't just plop it down on the scale....like peanut butter.
I will power on the scale with a bowl on it or whatever I am going to put the food in.
Then the scale will zero out with that bowl on the scale.
Then I add on my food, and it reflects just the food.....not the bowl.
My wife found a deal for it on groupon I think, so it was like $60, and she got it for $20.0 -
This is the one I use:
