T1 Diabetic Low Cal 15 gram snack

Can anyone suggest a low calorie, aproximately 15 gram carb snack that I can eat right before a workout? Preferably something that I can eat on the go. I am a type 1 diabetic and it is very discouraging to only burn the calories that you consume right before a workout.

  • 15 gm carbohydrate snacks that are low in calories include one serving of fruit (1 small apple or orange, 1 cup watermelon, etc), 6-8 oz non-fat, sugar-free yogurt; 1 slice of bread with a smear of peanut butter, 1 cup fat-free milk. What do you usually eat before exercise? ~Lynn /Glucerna
