Me and my girlfriend recently moved and got gym memberships near our new home. We have been doing 30 minutes at the gym 5 mornings a week since last Monday (2/17/14). We have also changed our diets, watching our sugar intakes and supplementing meals with protein shakes, fruits, and vitamins. I'm really enjoying our time at the gym, sometimes wish we had a little more but we will have to work on that. Right now we are doing a 30 minute cardio workout ramping up and down watching our heart rates. Once I get down to my goal weight I am hoping to start doing a little weight lifting as well, but I have a road to travel before then. One step at a time now.

You will do just fine. When you are working out with a friend or significant other, it's makes it somewhat easier to reach your goal because of the accountability and motivation the two of you can give to each other.

Excellent!!! Sounds like your doing a great job keeping with it. It's always good to have someone there to support and help support you. I started my routine in Sept last year and my husband, being diagnosed pre diabetic, finally decided to come on this journey with me. He's down 8 lbs this week alone. Keep up the great work!!!0
