and not super frequently..

i hate whole wheat pasta.

so if i stay at a deficit, can i still eat those white starchy yums?

sorry if this is a repost--i did search the threads but all i got was a thread about 'why are people in italy so slim when all they eat is white pasta!? ... but i am in canada, not italy, and the lifestyle here is different than there. so i just want to know strictly in a calories in calories out way, or are processed carbs REALLY detrimental, even if i eat at a deficit.

Yes you can. White pasta, white bread, white rice, white potatoes...I eat them all (Just had a sammich with potato chips actually. Nomnom) as log as you are satisfied and within your calorie goal all should be fine.

Definitely you can....I will say that I don't eat white carbs often, but last night I had pita bread with my salad with chicken and tonight I'm having PIZZA!!!!!!!!! NY style, white crust, thin, cheesy, deliciousness.

Yes, I am excited about the pizza....what can I say?

I hate whole wheat pasta too. Just eat the regular. I lost my weight eating all the "white foods."

    Yes, of course.

I eat Fiber Gourmet brand pasta which only has half the calories of regular (it's not whole grain, they just replace some of the flour with resistant starch). I don't do it because I can't lose weight eating regular pasta, but because I can eat twice as much pasta for the same calories AND up my fiber content. Both of which are things I like to do.

I have pasta at least twice per week...potatoes are a staple of my diet, as are white flour tortillas. We have pizza at least once weekly.

I'm sure I have "white carbs" at least once per day and have easily dropped 40 Lbs. I'm currently on a small cut now and continue to eat them...they can absolutely be a part of a nutritious and balanced diet.

Rice noodles are pretty starchy and gluten free.
