High school reunion

My 10 year high school reunion is coming up within the next year and I'm pretty excited about it. Not because I miss all my classmates but because I want revenge. No I'm not talking about violence.
I have Pervasive Development Disorder but was undisguised back then. Everybody thought I was stupid because I made really bad grades and I was very socially awkward. I had a lot of traumatic experiences from being bullied in high school; by students and teachers. To make matters worse, I was on the baseball team and the baseball players were the cocky a**holes of the school. Nobody on the team talked to me and just talked s*** about me all the time.
Fast forward to today, I have a college degree and I am in school to be a psychologist, I now have lots of self confidence, I have lots of great friends, and am overall doing very well for myself.
I can't wait to go to my reunion, look these people in the eye, and just know they were wrong about me. When they see me in the best shape of my life, a genuinely happy smile, and the hottest girl there, it will be the perfect revenge.
Anyone have similar experiences ?

I am glad you are proud of how far you have come. I think the best "revenge" would be there, smile, be humble, and socialize- if you are genuinely feeling so self confident it should not matter what their reactions are, let it go.0

Nope, but congrats.0

Firstly, congrats on not letting the negativity of others destroy you. I advocate for children with special needs and I have seen first hand how that kind of isolation can take it's toll. Also congrats on your degree and on furthering your education.
With that said, I feel like I need to say the following . . . don't expect too much from the folks who treated you badly in HS. Sadly, it is not unsual for the people who acted like jerks as kids, to remain acting like jerks as adults.
My advice is, go to your reunion and enjoy yourself. Take the experience for what it is. A night out, in the company of a bunch of folks who were once part of your daily life. Don't overthink it, or have expectation that may be unrealistic. The important thing is that YOUR life has improved greatly since you were in HS. Be pround and thankful for that.
I went to my 25th over the summer. It was a nice night. My profile pic was actually taken at my reunion.
Good luck!0 -
My guess is they don't remember what *kitten* holes they were in high school.0

I don't care about trying to make them feel bad. I just want the satisfaction of being in the same room as them and not being scared of what they think of me. It's more about me than it is them. I'm going to be as humble and nice as possible. I don't even hate any of them. I actually just feel sorry for them.0 -

Why?
Because they were a **** to you 10 years ago?0 -
I guess closure is a better choice of words than revenge.0
