Gyms when visiting relatives

So I'm visiting family for a week. In my home town I go to the gym on my university's campus. Obviously, they do not have another location 250 miles away.
Does anyone have suggestions for finding a gym in a town while traveling when you are not already a member of a national gym?
I think I'm screwed for a week. I really like stationary bike because it does not aggravate my gimpy knee.
I thought I could print up a 7 day pass from Anytime Fitness (around the corner from my aunt's house where I'm staying) but I called them and they said they could give me a tour but I could only work out if I had an ID with a LOCAL address….WTF??

I think you are probably screwed, as no one wants to give you a fee pass when there is no chance that you will purchase a membership. You probably just need to either a. Take a week off, everyone needs to deload sometime! or b. Just do a bodyweight exercise, I think there is a good one at nerdfitness. If you like biking, maybe you could just rent a bike?

Did you ask if you can pay a daily or weekly rate to work out? Also do you know anyone there who belongs to a gym? Maybe they could get a guest pass for you? Worst case scenario - go for a brisk walk. Or as suggested - take a week off.0

I don't think you are screwed at all. In fact this is an opportunity to train in a different way that may well become part of your on-going training.
Instead of "just" doing bodyweight exercises, you may look at putting together a progressive bodyweight routine that is just challenging enough for you to do around 8 reps per set for say 3 to 5 sets for each bodypart to put together a session that will be every bit as good as a gym workout and more - no travel time, no cost and it goes with you wherever you go.
If your folks will be ok with you slotting a portable pull-up bar through one of their doorways, that's the only accessory you really need.
Careful though - it can be addictive!0
