Hi Everyone! Just wondering how many of you out there are doing a low carb high protein diet??? Is it working for you? how much weight have you lost?
For the past week I have been doing a low carb diet. I have only really been eating fish, chicken, eggs, and salads, also lots of veggies and fruit..... I have been doing 60 minutes of cardio a day with some squates and lunges with 5 lb weights. I have started this Monday and will weigh in next Monday......My eating is boring and bland but i like to spice things up with alot of sautee veggies, i love my veggies..... I would like to start making some yummy smoothies but dont really know how, Any good Recipes?? I would also like to spice some things up with my workouts, add in some more weight lifting , Any suggestions??? Please let me know whats working for you, I really want to start living a healthy life style.....

My personal opinion is that you should eat in a way that you enjoy. If you like eating low-carb, then stick to it. But if you're looking at it as a temporary diet, you may want to re-evaluate your plans. The ultimate goal is to learn about proper portion sizes and create eating habits that you can use for the rest of your life. You may choose to make small changes here and there as you go along, but if you like the way you eat, you're more likely to stick to it. The same applies to exercise. If you like it, you're more likely to do it. For the entire first year of my time on MFP, I only worked out at home. I did lots of DVDs, YouTube workouts, and got outside when it was warm.
All that's necessary for weight loss is a calorie deficit. Just plug all of your info and goals into MFP, and it will calculate a calorie goal for you. You can meet that goal every day with any food you like.
That's what's worked for me.0
