I was a lacto-vegetarian for about 8 years. In 2004 I trained to become a firefighter and during training became anemic. At that time I was struggling to gain/maintain my weight. I started eating meat again after the anemia diagnosis and since then I have ballooned up to 185lbs on my 5' frame, I'm currently obese.
I've started a weight loss journey and I'd love to find other people that are eating similar to me to share goals and recipes with. I live with my MIL, husband, and three of our five kids. I'd like to prepare meals all will eat and that I can prepare meat separately to add for the omnivores.
I plan to eat an ovo-lacto vegetarian diet with occasional fish.

I've been a vegetarian for 20 years and in the last 8 years or so started adding seafood back into my diet as a source of protein since my body doesn't react well to too much soy proteins.
Feel free to add me!1 -
I'm a pescatarian. Just like you more ovo-lacto with occasional fish (maybe twice a month)
I am also a keto/paleo hybrid, taking aspects from both in order to fit my dietary needs while maintaining low processed carb intake.
I always do weekly meal planning, I reserve sunday afternoons to make lunches for myself and boyfriend, and I pre portion all my snacks for the week as well.0 -
I've been pescetarian for 20 years. My husband and kids are big meat eaters so I am always looking for ideas for meals to accommodate everyone. I'm going to the allergist next week and am starting to run out of things to eat. Hoping that I won't have to go back to meat since I think it would be very difficult after all this time. Good luck with your weight loss journey.

Hi, and welcome! I consider myself to be a lacto-ovo vegetarian, but I eat around 95% vegan. I do dairy and eggs once or twice a week. Feel free to add me (anyone else on this thread too) I love sharing recipes0
