Broken ankle

I did put a post on here the other day about me spraining my ankle well it was broken so now in cast and on crutches for at least 6 weeks. The past 3 days I have been very low and emotional but today I decided to try and make the best out of the situation.

Got up thinking I was going to get used to these crutches but finding it so hard after about 10 steps my arms kill me and my good leg aches. so can't even try going out of the house yet. (is this normal because my teenage kids keep saying crutches are so much fun and easy )

Just done some chair exercises I found on you tube so feeling a bit more productive, going to do some floor exercises later crunches and leg rises.

would love to know how to stay positive by 4pm each day I am going stir crazy !

What sort of crutches do you have? The elbow ones are much easier than the shoulder ones, but they'll still take a bit of getting used to. When I broke my ankle (at the age of 29!) I slept a lot - early to bed, sleeping in when I could, but I was back at work 8 days later. I can still remember pushing myself too hard (to the point of tears) trying to keep up when my cousin came to stay though. Do what you can, not what you think you should.
