Question about logging in your exercise

I go to the gym 5-6 days a week and workout for 2 hours. Running included in this. When I log I put the running in the cardio then add strength training. My daily goal is 1200 calories when the exercise is added MFP gives me more calories to consume for the day. I get that.. but I want to keep it at 1200.. I can't set it that way when exercise is added.. I get almost 1400 a day. I don't want that. Any suggestions besides keeping a separate log???
