Pre race meal

Okay I am running the Llanelli half marathon on sunday, yikes. Tomorrow night I am having a lovely homemade spaghetti Bolognese and porridge on morning of race. About an hour before I set off its a strong coffee and a bounce ball. What is your pre race fuel.

Not anything that I haven't tried before a training run.

For me, usually just a granola bar or some oatmeal. And coffee. Always coffee. Must.have.coffee.

Usually a bagel thin/banana/oatmeal, and yes, coffee is a must.

Peanut butter on toast or an english muffin, and a banana - about 2 hours prior.

Never do I ever drink coffee before a race.

My dinner the day before a race is also usually spaghetti or chicken and pasta.

The morning of the race I'll have coffee, toast & peanut butter, yogurt, a banana and coffee (I try to eat at least 2 or 3 hours ahead of the start time)

+1 on what Carson said......no new foods in the 48 hrs leading up to the race.
