I wish you all the luck! I am glad I came here. Logging in what all I eat has helped me to see with my own eyes how much calories I am eating. I was shocked. Just take baby steps. You can do it!!0

As others have said, log, log, log so you know what you are eating.
If you've had trouble sticking to it in the past, don't set too aggressive a goal,so you can stick to it. Set it for 1 pound a week to start.

Baby steps are essential. Start logging your meals and get moving. Get acquainted with people on MFP who are going through the same thing you are (that'd be pretty much all of us). Don't be afraid to ask for help, support, and encouragement. Then get educated! Familiarize yourself with basic nutrition and fitness facts and apply them. Weight loss isn't a short-term thing; you need to adjust your lifestyle. That's what makes a success story an epic.
