"Juicing"- Nutri Bullet vs Juicer

Which one is better to get? And can someone clear this up for me.... is the "pulp" good or bad for you? I have been looking around and people swear by a juicer but doesnt the pulp go out thru the back of it? And then I have people who swear by the Nutribullet but complain about the chunkiness/pulp in the mix.

Thanks in advance for the help.

The pulp is what you want, that's where the majority of the fiber and other nutrients are. I'm saving up for a Vitamix because texture is a big thing for me and I've heard on multiple occasions that this particular blender will make for a very smooth product. I heard that Nutribullet is great for this too, only that some parts might need replacing after a year or so.

I've had a Nutribullet for about a year and love it. When I first decided to invest, I started juicing by using a food processor and cheesecloth to strain the juice, just to make sure I was going to stick with it before buying another appliance. That straight juice was awesome! It goes down quick and it gave me a really nice burst of energy. I had a juicer all picked out.

But I was wasting a lot of the produce by throwing out the pulp, and since I'm pretty frugal, that bugged me. Then I saw the Nutribullet infomercial, and I bought it. I will say that I don't think I get the same burst of energy as with the straight juice (like, I was bounding out of bed in the morning jonesing for juice, but the green smoothie doesn't excite me as much). But I use the Nutribullet to make soups and salad dressings too, so I think I made a smarter purchase. No waste, and I get to keep the fiber.
  • Frankly, the Vitamix is THE BOMB!! As one who has spent thousands on useless kitchen appliances the Vitamix is one purchase I have never regretted.

Made in USA, 5 or 7 year warranty (depending on model) and it really does make soups hotter than my mouth can stand! Makes awesome blender drinks, wonderful sorbet from frozen fruits and has never balked at anything I have tossed in it. The one thing I have not tried in it has been grinding my own nut butters, but I have no doubt it would work wonderfully. If you wish, it makes the blended product smooth as silk, and literally makes snow out of ice cubes.

You WANT the pulp from veggies/fruits. There are so many nutrients in them, plus the fiber is important for your system and satiety.

I've had both before (juicer and Nutri Bullet). The juicer was a pain to clean and I hated the idea of all the waste. I received the NutriBullet as a Christmas gift and LOVE it! I use it for more than just making my smoothies/shakes/Nutriblasts, which makes it feel like a multi-purpose kitchen gadget.
