After dinner exercisers, I have a question.

For those who exercise after you have logged your dinner, how do you count it? Do you log it on that day and just count them as bonus earned calories or do you log it the next day and eat the calories?

I just wait to close out the day until after I've logged my exercise...

On days that this occurs, I usually count them as bonus and I don't eat them back.

I don't eat them back. I figured what my TDEE is with my exercise in mind, ~2550 calories, ans I eat 1200-1500 regardless. 1000 calories a day == 2 lbs lost/week.

I split my dinner into dinner and dessert. They're always logged that way, but when I exercise after dinner, they're separated temporally. I eat dinner, go exercise, and then eat dessert.
Alternatively, I dedicate myself to a specific amount of a specific activity, prelog the exercise, and eat dinner accordingly.
  • I wait to close out my log until I go to bed- sometimes I don't close it until I wake up in the morning. I do sometimes eat the extra calories I have exercised off but not always. I am trying to make if for some reason I go over my calories- like the day I didn't think a meal at steak and shake was a bad idea until after I had dinner- I walked until I burned off the extra calories. I can say since that day I am WAY more careful with what I am picking to eat. Good Luck :)

I do TDEE -20% so my exercise calories are already accounted for (I eat the same number of calories each day).
