My lower stomach?

I have been on a diet and exercising for a little over two weeks now, I lost weight noticably in my legs and arms and my sides and my stomach did get a bit flatter but the little "pooch" never goes away! If I keep doing cardio will the little lower belly fat go away or does anyone know any exercises I could do also to help?

Ive heard that the belly area is the last to see changes.

Yup -- I've heard stomach is last to make changes too. This is because there are vital organs in that area and evolution has made it so your body puts on fat to protect them! Or so I have learned. I guess it provides a lot of warmth too.

You cannot spot train that fat there away, however, you CAN do exercise that is good for you core which will make it better shaped. Most exercise involving standing up is good. So biking, cycling, horse riding, what have you. Swimming too, actually.

I've been steadily losing weight for the past 3 years and while my stomach STILL is flabby (and the scale really hasn't budged more than 15 - 20 lbs) it HAS gained definition and gotten smaller. It takes time but it is very rewarding!
Another thing that has helped me (or so I believe) is being less stressed. Stopped drinking coffee and caffeine, started meditating more, and picked up drinking chamomile tea. The stomach tends to gain flab in periods of physical or mental stress.
