Workout clothes question for women

I am in the process of trying to find workout pants that fit tight enough to hold me in a little and are good quality. So far my favorite is the killer caboose pants I got from Soybu but they already feel a little too big and I just got them 3 weeks ago. I ordered a xl because I am currently 189 ish but I am wondering if I should have went down a size? My question to you ladies is this: What size pants did you order and how much do you weight or what is your pants size normally. Of course this is only for people who don't mind telling. Thank you so much. I would love to know brand name as well if you feel like including it.

I got some yoga capris from Lane Bryant and I just love them, bought 2 pair to start with and then when they had a good sale again I went back and bought 4 more pair. They are kinda pricey, about $35 a pair, I think, but I got them when they had 50% off sale. They have a wide waist band at the top to help "hold it all in place." I got size 14/16, advised by the girl that was working, and I thought they would be too small but they fit very good. I wear any where from a size 16-18 and I weigh 239. Hope this helps you.0

I'm an American size 10 in most jeans, but stretchy ones I can do an 8.0

I love the nike fit shorts, capris and pants. They hold me in good! And will fit tight on me whether I'm a size 8 or a size 2 in jeans. A size small worked for me going from 140 all the way down to 112 (I'm 5'0"). I've had my oldest pair for about 5 years now.0

I wear the loosest, baggiest shorts and worn out T-shirts I can find to work out. They aren't cute but they're comfortable and I can sweat like a pig in them and not care. I really don't care about being cute when I work out (but what do I know? I'm old  ) I want to be cute after I'm done. I'm 5'5" and as of this morning 161.2 pounds. I wear a 10-12 US or about a medium, large if the sizes run small.

If you've been mostly sedentary and have a good amoutn of weight to lose, you can expect to be sizing down fairly steadily for the first while. You may want to go with higher waisted and wider waistband styles that won't slouch as much as you lose, so you won't have to keep buying new clothes.0

I'm 5'10" and 176. I like Athleta. I wear a Large tall, 12/14. They have a fantastic return policy and I have had great help with their customer service. I've been wearing them since I weighed 245. I wore XL then, pretty tight. I was a 18/20.
They are kinda pricey, but if you wear them for a month and they start to wear out, you can return them. I have only had problems with one pair of yoga tights pilling between the thighs. They just sent me a new pair. If you have a store in town, go check it out and try on a bunch of different styles and sizes. They do have some plus size, tall, and petite options too...which is nice.0 -
Because I'm still losing, I refuse to spend a lot of money on work out clothes!
I bought XL work out pants at Target, I think the brand is C-9. I don't think they were more than $20. They are getting looser already! I went back this week and bought 2 pair of shorts (similar to the pants, like yoga stretchy style) and got L since the XL are getting loose already.
Oh and I'm 5'2' and started out at 175, I'm 164 now.0 -
I'm 5"5.5 at 163.8 lb but I think I was actually lighter when I got my newest pants. I'm a L (an Australian L mind you) but I'm not sure whether that is because Nike seem to make stuff for the smaller side of people or not but also you have to look at the shape of your body. If you are a pear shape you may always be larger than you top. Just something to consider.0

I am in for suggestions to because I'm around your size (roughly) - 5'8" and 194 lb - and my current workout pants are too big. I wear a misses 14 or juniors 15 currently.
JC Penney's Xersion line compression-style capris in 1X fit me perfectly when I was in a size 18 women's pants. Now they're loose all over and hugely baggy in the knees, oddly...lol0 -
I really prefer Underarmour leggings for working out. I like to have my clothes closer to my body while exercising so I typically wear leggings, compression capris, etc. Since I'm trying to lose weight I only have two pairs, one is XXL and the other is XL, I'm sitting around 200 pounds right now. While losing weight I like the Danskin brand from Walmart. Fairly inexpensive and pretty comfortable. I have a pair of XL and L. I'm about 5'3" if that helps at all.0

I like tighter pants for working out (tight pants, loose longer shirt combo). I'm 5'6", 143lbs, typically wear a size 8US pant, and usually go with a size medium compression bottom, size small for other bottoms. My favorite brands are actually from Target and Old Navy, very good prices and comparable to more expensive brands I've bought in the past imo. I live in my Old Navy compression leggings, and bonus! I live in Minnesota so they double as long underwear under my jeans0

ohmigosh this. Old Navy leggings are awesome, and the black ones are so plain I can wear them with a tunic to class. Double functionality. And despite the fact that I've lost about twenty lbs since buying them, they're thick enough they still fit.0 -
Have worn both Old Navy and Target. The ones from Target have held up a little better and the fabric is a little softer. Can't go wrong with the price on either brand!0
