I haven't posted one of these before, but it was a cool realization this week.
I have been training for a 5K using the Couch to 5K app on my phone. When I started that app, I couldn't run the first couple of runs without gasping for breath and wanting to stop.
This week, I finished the C25K program and ran my first 5k run. I ran it under 30 minutes with a 9:40 minute mile, then yesterday I did it again.
The NSV is... What was once my ultimate goal has become just another Monday... Wednesday... Friday...
I start training for the 10K Monday morning.

Well done great job. I finished week 2 today. It got easier as the week went on. Good luck with your training for 10k.0

Congrats! As a C25K "graduate" I can totally relate. It's an amazing feeling and well deserved.
I started with pretty much the same numbers as you. I just got back from a very active vacation. Swimming, Kayaking, Snorkeling, Hiking, etc. I never would have been able to do it a few months back. Actually, when my wife was making reservations for the kayaking, the guy asked her if anyone was over 280. She hesitated for a second and turned to me. After a quick second she got back to the guy and, very emphatically, said "no". It felt good0 -
Way to go! My NSV for this week is I am able to wear a smaller size scrubs at work! I tried the next size down on last night. I will admit that the pants were slightly snug but not a problem getting them on! The shirt fit fine, but I am used to wearing my clothes really loose and it will take a little getting used to wearing clothes that fit!0
