How much cardio if weight lifting?

I am going into my second week of weight lifting three times a week and I am LOVING it!! However I am really wondering how much cardio I need to do to see a weight loss (I need to lose about 100 pounds) and if it matters what kind of cardio it is? I have some DVD's that are dancing and I usually get like a 300-450 calorie burn with them and I really like long distance walking but neither are what I would classify HIIT like I see most people doing...I really hate classic cardio and would rather not do any! haha! A little direction from someone who has been there done that would be great!!!

Cardio is for cardiovascular health.
You can lose body fat without doing any if you so desire. However, you should keep at least some in your program to keep your heart and lungs healthy.
If you have goals that require a greater level of cardio-vascular health/performance, then you need to be training towards those goals.
Long story short: lifting + high protein + calorie deficit will result in effective fat loss. Cardio can help you create a larger deficit, but is not strictly necessary for your stated goals.0
