GNC Mega Ultra Vitamins

I am a wimp when it comes to taking pills. I will not lie. On average, I can usually take medicine a doctor prescribes if need be because they're usually small or gel coated making them much easier to take. However, along my weight loss journey I've discovered taking vitamins helps in more ways than one, I recently bought the GNC Ultra Mega Vitamins for women, they suggest taking two a day, but they are huge! With them being time released I've read around that its not good to split or crush them (I did however split my dosage yesterday before doing my research...ooops).
All in all my question is, has anyone taken or know of anyone that takes the Mega Ultra shakes from GNC? (Not the weight loss supps or protein shakes :-) but the actual vitamin shakes)I know they're not meal replacement's or anything like that, but with the exception of Iron that is not in them, are the shakes still accountable for being a vitamin? Silly as my question may seem, I ask this because this "nutrition formula" appears to have 90 calories, I don't mind giving up 100 cals if its worth it and going to benefit me in a positive way.

Don't crush vitamins, that won't help. much of the vitamins your body uses are not "storable" in your body and thus will just be flushed out if you take too much at once. But you should be able to cut them in half. You might lose some of the effect, but not all of it. On the other hand, most of the generic vitamin brands out there (including GNC) don't give you anywhere near the amount of vitamins that is listed. By that I mean they're all in the pill, but because of the way they're delivered, many of them are never processed by the body. It's the concept of bioavailability (you can google this term for more info).0
