Is weightloss possible with calorie deficit alone?

I gave myself a month deadline to lose the excess bits of fat left but it's not possible now since I had knee problems and have to stop working out for a month. Great
I was thinking of going down 1200 cals per day + ab workouts (which just helps in toning since it's not really cardio) is it gonna work? Can you recommend a woekout routine that doesnt involve much of the knee? Thanks!

Well, that's all it takes. If you're on a calorie deficit, you'll loose weight period.0
